Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using MDS Vault, you agree to these terms. If you're using MDS Vault on behalf of a company, you're agreeing on that company's behalf and confirming you have the authority to do so.
The service
MDS Vault provides encrypted cloud storage for documents, photos, and videos, accessible from supported web, desktop, and mobile clients, along with tools for sharing and collaborating on stored files.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Because MDS Vault uses end-to-end encryption, we cannot recover your data if you lose your credentials and haven't set up account recovery.
Plans, billing & storage
- Free includes 5GB of storage at no cost.
- Plus and Pro plans are billed monthly or yearly (yearly billing includes a 20% discount) and include 100GB and 1TB of storage respectively.
- Business & Enterprise plans are custom-priced and billed under a separate order form or contract.
- If you exceed your plan's storage limit, you may be asked to upgrade or remove content before uploading more.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled case by case — contact support.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use MDS Vault to store or share content that is illegal, infringes on others' rights, or is used to distribute malware or facilitate abuse. We may suspend accounts that violate this policy, consistent with our ability to act given that stored files are encrypted and not routinely reviewed.
Your content
You retain full ownership of everything you upload. We claim no rights to your files beyond what's needed to store, sync, and — when you choose to share — deliver them as directed by you.
Suspension & termination
You can cancel your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law, with notice where reasonably possible.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
MDS Vault is provided "as is." While we work hard to keep the service reliable and secure, we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the updated date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MDS Vault is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
